The regiment was raised on August 10 1761 by Colonel Tonyn. The regiment was also known as the “King's Volunteers”.

During the Seven Years' War, the regiment was under the command of:

  • from August 1761 to 1763: Colonel Tonyn

The regiment was disbanded in 1763.

The regiment did not take part in any campaign during the Seven Years' War.
