Description

At the end of May 1759, the Prussian Army of Pomerania (20 bns and 28 sqns for a total of approx. 17,600 men with 46 heavy artillery pieces and 40 battalion guns, excluding Kleist’s Corps left behind in Western Pomerania) under Lieutenant-General Dohna was divided in several detachments.

This detachment (6 bns, 7 sqns for a total of 5,180 men with 10 heavy artillery pieces and 12 battalion guns) had been left behind in Western Pomerania to observe the Swedish army.
