Description

By mid-August 1759, the main Austrian army was still in Lusatia and Silesia but several corps were also operating in Brandenburg and Saxony. Hereafter, we give the orders of battle of the corps operating in Brandenburg. Hadik’s Corps

This corps (approx. 15,350 men) was posted near Guben (present-day Gubin/PL) and Neuzelle on the border of Brandenburg.

Commander: G.d.C. von Hadik

Infantry (17 bns for a total of 10,800 men)

Cavalry (25 sqns for a total of approx. 3,600 men)

Light Cavalry (10 sqns for a total of approx. 950 men)

Loudon’s Corps

This corps (13,093 men) was operating with the Russian army in Brandenburg.

Commander: FML Baron Loudon

Infantry (14 bns for a total of 6,152 men)

Grenzer Infantry (3,486 men)

Cavalry (25 sqns for a total of 2,245 men)

Light Cavalry (10 sqns for a total of 1,210 men)
