Origin and History
The regiment was raised on 10 December 1702 by Antoine-Camus, Comte d'Arginy.
During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by:
- from 10 December 1702: Antoine-Camus, Comte d'Arginy
- from 1705: N. d'Aubusson
- from 11 January 1708 to 1714: Jean-Baptiste de Varennes-Gournay
The regiment was disbanded in 1714.
