Origin and History

The regiment was raised on 7 May 1702 by Armand, Vicomte de Blacons.

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by

  • from 7 May 1702: Armand, Vicomte de Blacons
  • from 15 May 1705 to 12 November 1714: N. de Blacons (son of the former colonel)

On 12 November 1714, the regiment was incorporated in Auvergne Infanterie.

Service during the War

Throughout the war, the regiment served in Dauphiné.
