Origin and History
The regiment was raised on 29 December 1701 by N. Marquis de Bouzols.
During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by
- from 29 December 1701: N. Marquis de Bouzols
- from 1705: N. Marquis de Caumont La Force
- from 1711 to 1715: N. de Madaillan de Lesparre, Chevalier de Lassay
The regiment was disbanded in 1715.
Service during the War
In 1702, the regiment joined the Army of Italy.
In 1706, the regiment was transferred to Catalonia where it took part in the Siege of Barcelona.
In 1708, the regiment was attached to the Army of Roussillon.
In 1710, the regiment was transferred to the Army of Catalonia.
In 1714, the regiment took part in the siege and capture of Barcelona.
