Origin and History

The regiment was raised on 4 February 1706 by N. Chevalier de Bragny.

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by:

  • from 4 February 1706: N. Chevalier de Bragny
  • from 1707: N. de Crux de Vieillevigne
  • from 1708: N. de Crux de Grandlieu
  • from 3 September 1710: Jean-Armand Comte d'Arros d'Argelos
  • from 20 February 1712 to 1714: N. Deshayes

The regiment was disbanded in 1714.

Service during the War

From 1706, the regiment garrisoned various places in Flanders.
