Origin and History
The regiment was raised on 3 February 1706 by Noël Bouton, Maréchal de Chamilly.
During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by:
- from 3 February 1706: Noël Bouton, Maréchal de Chamilly
- from 13 July 1707 to 19 January 1714: Charles-Léon Boscal de Réals, Comte de Mornac
On 19 January 1714, the regiment was incorporated into Lyonnais Infanterie.
Service during the War
Throughout the war, the regiment assumed garrison duties in various places.
