Origin and History

The regiment was raised on 7 May 1702 by N. Desclos.

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by

  • from 7 May 1702: N. Desclos
  • from 1705: N. de Nupcès
  • from 1711 to 1714: N. de Lespinay

In 1714, the regiment was disbanded.

Service during the War

In 1702, the regiment joined the Army of Italy.

In 1705, the regiment served in Italy and in the Alps.

By the end of the war, the regiment was serving on the Rhine.
