Origin and History
The regiment was raised on 4 February 1706 by N. Marquis du Pont du Château.
During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by:
- from 4 February 1706: N. Marquis du Pont du Château
- from 1710 to 30 January 1715: N. de Rohan, Chevalier de Leon
The regiment was disbanded on 30 January 1715.
Service during the War
In 1706, the regiment joined the Army of Dauphiné.
In 1713, the regiment was transferred to the Army of Catalonia.
In 1714, the regiment was present at the siege and capture of Barcelona.
