Origin and History
The regiment was raised on 3 September 1702 by N. de Guines.
During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by:
- from 3 September 1702: N. de Guines
- from 24 May 1705: Jacques-Joseph Huet de Dampierre
The regiment was incorporated into La Gervasais Infanterie on 20 March 1714.
Service during the War
In 1703, the regiment served with the Army of Flanders.
In April and May 1710, the regiment took part in the unsuccessful defence of Douai.
