Origin and History
The regiment was raised on 21 May 1702 by N. de La Grise.
During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by
- from 21 May 1702: N. de La Grise
- from 29 December 1706 to 16 January 1714: Charles, Comte de Montesson
The regiment was disbanded on 16 January 1714.
Service during the War
Throughout the war, the regiment served on the Rhine and in the Alps. It then remained in Dauphiné until 1714.
