The regiment was raised on 25 July 1702 by Jacques-Louis des Acres, Marquis de Laigle.

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by

  • from 25 July 1702: Jacques-Louis des Acres, Marquis de Laigle
  • from January 1711 to 1714: N. de Laigle

The regiment was disbanded in 1714.

Service during the War

Throughout the war, the regiment garrisoned various places in Flanders.
