Origin and History
The regiment was raised on 3 September 1702 by Charles de Tussaut de Maisonthiers.
During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by:
- from 3 September 1702 to 21 January 1714: Charles de Tussaut de Maisonthiers
The regiment was incorporated into Navarre Infanterie on 21 January 1714.
Service during the War
Throughout the war, the regiment served in various garrisons in Alsace and in the Lines of the Lauter.
