Origin and History

The regiment was raised on 1 January 1706 by Marc Roger, Marquis de Noé.

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by:

  • from 1 January 1706: Marc Roger, Marquis de Noé

On 29 July 1715, the regiment was incorporated into La Marine Infanterie and Anjou Infanterie.

Service during the War

In 1706, the regiment joined the Army of Roussillon.

In 1710, the regiment took part in the defence of Cette.

In 1711, the regiment took part in the siege of Girona.

In 1714, the regiment took part in the siege and capture of Barcelona.
