Origin and History

The regiment was raised on 26 April 1702 by Charles-Germain Le Mastin, Comte de Nuaillé.

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by

  • from 26 April 1702: Charles-Germain Le Mastin, Comte de Nuaillé

On 20 September 1714, the regiment was incorporated in Piémont Infanterie.

Service during the War

In 1702, the regiment joined the Army of Flanders.

In 1706, the regiment was transferred to the Moselle.

In 1707, the regiment returned to Flanders.

On 11 July 1708, the regiment took part in the Battle of Oudenarde.
