Origin and History
The regiment was raised on 21 December 1701 by Clériadus de Pra-Balesseau, Chevalier de Pézeux.
During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by
- from 21 December 1701 by Clériadus de Pra-Balesseau, Chevalier de Pézeux
- from 3 October 1702 to 15 August 1714: N. de Lafons de La Ferté
The regiment was disbanded on 15 August 1714.
Service during the War
In 1702, the regiment joined the Army of Germany.
In 1703, the regiment took part in the siege of Landau.
In 1704, the regiment was transferred to Flanders.
In 1708, the regiment took part in the defence of Lille.
In 1711, the regiment took part in the attack of Arleux where its colonel was dangerously wounded.
