Origin and History

The regiment was raised on 3 September 1702 by N. de Pujol.

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by:

  • from 3 September 1702: N. de Pujol
  • from 1706: N. de Puységur
  • from 1708: N. de Léotaud
  • from 21 November 1712 to 21 January 1714: Guy-Louis-Henri, Marquis de Valory

The regiment was disbanded on 21 January 1714.

Service during the War

In 1706, the regiment joined the Army of Dauphiné.

In 1708, the regiment was transferred to Flanders.
