Origin and History

The regiment was raised at the end of December 1706 at Mallen in the Province of Aragon by Colonel Don Bonifacio Manrique. At the beginning of 1707, it was still recruiting when the enemy advanced on Navarra and captured the entire regiment at Mallen.

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the owner of the regiment was:

  • from December 1706 until 1707: Queen Maria Luisa Gabriela de Saboya

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the commander of the regiment was:

  • from December 1706 until 1707: Don Bonifacio Manrique

Service during the War

In 1707, the regiment was taken prisoners at Mallen in Aragon.
