During the War of the Spanish Succession, the successive proprietors of the regiment were:

  • from 25 March 1705 to 1712: Sir Charles Hotham

The regiment was disbanded in 1712.

Service during the War

From December 1708 to April 1709, the regiment was part of the garrison that defended Alicante.

In 1710, the regiment had an augmentation of its establishment.

In 1712, the regiment was disbanded.
