Origin and History

The regiment was raised on 3 September 1702 by Joseoh-Guillaume Boutin, Comte de Vallouze.

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by:

  • from 3 September 1702: Joseoh-Guillaume Boutin, Comte de Vallouze
  • from 1704: N. de Grosbois
  • from 7 April 1708 to 1714: Emmery-Emmanuel de Thimbrune, Marquis de Valence

The regiment was disbanded in 1714.

Service during the War

In 1703, the regiment joined the Army of the Rhine.
