Origin and History

The regiment was raised on 7 May 1702 by N. de Vivours.

During the War of the Spanish Succession, the regiment was commanded by

  • from 7 May 1702: N. de Vivours
  • from 1705: N. de Briouze
  • from 1713 to 1715: N. Des Vasieres

The regiment was disbanded in 1715.

Service during the War

In 1702, the regiment joined the Army of the Rhine.

In 1705, the regiment was transferred to the Army of the Alps.

From 1707 to 1713, the regiment formed part of the Army of Dauphiné.

In 1713, the regiment was transferred to Catalonia.

In 1714, the regiment took part in the siege and capture of Barcelona.
