Throughout the XVIIIth century, technologies related to naval warfare evolved very rapidly in Europe, faster indeed than land warfare technologies. Thanks to their navies, European powers held the world in their networks of colonies and trading posts.
The following navies were involved in the Seven Years War:
|Aligned with Austria||Aligned with Prussia|
|France (115 articles)
Russia (12 articles)
Spain (2 articles)
|Great Britain (247 articles)
Prussia (20 articles)
N.B.: Some of the belligerents had no navy. To our knowledge, this was the case for Austria, Hanover, and Saxony.
